This wiki was originally set up to gather ideas and evidence for a report to Cabinet on whether social networking sites offer useful opportunities for libraries to deliver services and engage readers. Various Oxford libraries are starting to experiment with web 2.0 tools, and Cabinet is happy to support staff in this.

The report to Cabinet was followed by a successful study day for Oxford librarians, and subsequently a working party was set up to look into the issues raised more closely and make further recommendations. More information about these can be found in the relevant sections of the wiki.
